Hi All,
I have just looked on eBay and there is currently a Jowett stationary engine for sale.
It has attracted no bids, but has an opening request for £300. However, it looks a bit of an 'ugly duckling'. It obviously has a Jowett engine, but someone has removed whatever it was driving. Maybe a generator from the description?
Also, it has no conventional radiator, but a strange system of two static water tanks, sitting over the starting handle. Some of the photos have clearly been taken whilst it was running and the oil pressure gauge shows 60lbs/ft, which is pretty good!
The carburettor looks different from the one that was fitted to mine too, being fitted sideways to the inlet manifold, rather than being an updraft, like mine.
Anyway, interesting?
All the best,
David
