Hi, at the moment there is a blue 1953 Jupiter Special advertised on eBay. The item number is 224439649924. It's asking price is £8000.
It looks like it has been built on an original Jupiter chassis, but has been heavily modified. The engine is mounted further back, with the radiator now ahead of the engine. It is mated to a Triumph 2000 gearbox, with conventional stick shift. The body is completely different and looks like a fibre glass special from a different body supplier? There is a cast assembly ahead of the engine, to take the upper front suspension.
Apparently, it is currently a non-runner and will need work to get it roadworthy. However, it looks interesting and a genuine attempt to do something different with the basic Jowett components?
There are some spares offered with the car, including a spare engine. It is based in Leeds.
I have not seen this car at our rallies, but may have missed it? Looks interesting and do we have any more information?
All the best,
David
