Hi. Sorry for my english. I'm looking for 4 rims for the Jupiter. I need some very good rims. I'll start at the "1000 Miglia" with my JJ JTM100. Please let me know where I can find them.
Thanks.

Thank you Keith. I'm talking about the metal part of the wheel. The six I have are not in good conditions and I can't strighten them.
I need 4 perfect original rims Other problem is about tires. I'm looking for 17" rims so I can have more choice.

Nobody I know has fitted 17 inch rims. The originals are 16inch. You may be able to fit a larger centre with a lower profile tyre as van and taxi tyres will just fit the wheel arch.

I do not know of any new wheels that have been made in the last 40 years. Mike Smailes was planning to have some made. I do not know if he did. Joe Caudo did make some wheels in Australia but they were not strict Jupiter ones.

I have made wheels for circuit racing from SAAB 90; but they are 15inch. I have also widened and strengthened the original wheels for use in the desert piste. I have also made Jupiter wheels from Javelin ones. Others have made wheels from Volkswagen Beatle.

There is not much room to fit a modern tyre and you must be very accurate with the offset as it either fouls the wheel arch or the suspension. I made the offset less and then fitted shims with larger studs. The original studs have the habit of necking. 1960’s Rover studs and nuts are ideal.

If you want original wheels, you probably will need to weld up and refinish the ones you have. If you find a source please let me know as we all need them!!

I have put this on JowettTalk to see if anybody replies.

KC.

Jupiter wheels

The best way is to use Javelin wheels as these are a little thicker than Jupiter You will need to drill the 12 one inch holes.
Very good Pirelli cinturato tyres are then available from Longstone tyres of Bawtry The standard hubcap and wheeltrim still fits and the gear ratio remains unchanged and you cant tell the difference by just looking
