I was honoured to receive this award for work I did for club on the website. This encourages me to continue to improve the website.
I sometimes do get discouraged by those who criticise, particularly if they have not made an effort to learn how to use the website or understand some of the issues faced when developing and maintaining it.
JowettTalk is unadulterated phpbb software used by millions on forums in almost every country in the world. If you cannot login to JowettTalk then have you registered, have you the correct username, have you the correct password, have you changed your email address since you registered? Answer those four questions then figure out what to do to correct the situation. Please read the Frequently Asked Questions or just try again to understand how to use it.
If you cannot activate a session with member services then did you complete the 'validate email form' that asks for your credentials to verify your identity, did you receive the email from the system, did you click the link to activate the session? Answer those three questions then figure out what to do to correct the situation.
If you are still stuck then contact me. We can then go through the steps to understand your issues and perhaps improve it for others with a tutorial that we write together.

Re: Horace Grimley Award
Keith - Well done on the award - from my point of view and that of many others - improvements are very welcome - however the vast majority of us are self taught with computers - we use them out of convenience more than anything - therefore any changes / modifications need to be explained clearly in the simplest terms possible - screen shots are ideal for this - most of us don't understand what to us is complex computer speak / knowledge - I fear that in some cases this may well put off some users / members - it needs to be has user friendly has possible in every aspect in order to encourage the maximum possible users take advantage of the resource

Re: Horace Grimley Award
Thanks all for the support...today is the first time for many years that I have banked a cheque. This meant a special journey into town just to do this as the banks close by have all closed. Most of my transactions these days are either cashless or credit card even for one pint of beer, although I did use some cash at the steam rally on Sunday as the stall holders were saying that often the credit card machines lose their signal. No doubt Hauwei will sort that!!!!
