G'dday From The Extremely Sunny South!

Does anyone out there have any experience with a company called Avon Seals Manufacturing? They are based in India.

They list on their Website a seal, their Part Number 16B36, mechanical seal that looks the same as the original Payen seal.

I have sent them an E-mail asking pertinent questions about these seals. No response yet.

Information would be appreciated.

Mike the JOAC use and stock Triumph Herald seals, and they are working well in my newley refurbished pump, after some teething troubles (unrelated to the seals).

I use the the Triumph seals with no problems. Just allow them to bed in.

Can I take it that these Triumph seals are a direct replacement with no mods? And are they and the bearings available from JCS?
I'm doing my pump at the moment (see my Gallery Album) and whilst my seals look pretty good, new would of course be better.

Actually old are sometimes better, as the seals do take time to bed in. Expect drips for a couple of hundred miles. make sure the drain hole is clear at back of pump otherwise water gets into shaft bearing.

just found this out! seals bedded in nicely though now, after water pump refurbishment with seals, bearings and spindle via the club(s)
