Decided to give the Jupiter a rest [real reason was no room for the tent in a Jupiter]let alone airbed, food, clothes, guitar, wife, etc etc.
We started out ok but late ,on a run to Nanango in the Brisbane valley, the Javelin cruising nicely at about 55 to 60 mph.
2 hours saw us in Yarraman for a pit stop and a chat with an old mate, all going to plan.Left the beast parked in first gear, but on our return that is where it stayed, nothing would shift the bas***d out of first. Then hurt my thumb in the process and ended up with the RACQ [local auto club]towing the thing home.
Had to finish the week end in a Land Lover Defender, and then ferrying another Jav home.
The question is,for a hug from Dame Edna, what was the cause?
We have yet to pull the thing down to find out.
So lets hear everyones educated guesses.
