Air filter revisited

As the initial 'thread' of my air filter has extended into club matters ( I suppose that it should be in 'Natter', and I am pleased to see a reply from Geoff Wills), I thought I would start a new one.
Thanks to much help from you out there, I have now a complete filter assembly and some knowledge as to what to do!
The rear locating/fixing plates seem to be a poor arrangement, fixed to the thin ply and coming free, it would appear, quite often. I have made an alternative arrangement that might be of interest, it is all in my Gallery album if you want to have a look.
I expect others have done similar arrangements and 'mods', I would be interested to hear.
