10/4 oil filter

The 10/4 has a remote oil filter attached to the side of the sump by a bracket and is connected by two pipes.when I purchased my car it came with spare filters ,one a direct replacement the other two had only one outlet and an adapter saying that this was a quick fit filter has anyone come across these as it looks like you have to make up new pipes to fit them
have just purchased a javilin and will need all the help i can get
