My intention is to make my grandpa’s Jupiter as original as when it left the factory in ’51.

Regarding the car history, I got to ask my grandfather. What I can tell for granted is that the car is in my family for very long time. I am attaching a picture of my parents with the car. This picture was taken probably between ’74 and ’77. I wasn’t born and the car was already in my family (I am 40 years old!).

My grandpa is not big fan of British Cars like me. He likes better the American cars from the 20s and 30s, mainly Duesenberg, Marmon, Cord, Packard, Cadillac. Differently from my grandpa I have always been a huge fan of British sports cars, mainly the roadsters (MG, Triumph, Jags). We used to have a Jaguar XK120, but my grandpa sold it, in spite of my complains. We still have a Riley 2.5 liter RMC ’51. It is in the same condition as the Jupiter and I expect that to start its restoration within 1 or 2 years.

I have memories of the Jupiter since I was a kid and the car had always been white. In an attempt to restore the car some 20 years ago my grandpa repainted it in green. That’s why I have never known the real color of the car. Now that I have the right information I will be able to perform a good job.
