The bottom left, the two timing gears look to be pre war. Is the silver round cover from a carburettor?

I agree with Alan about the two (bottom left) gears.
The larger looks like a pre-war camshaft gear:- The smaller one is the crankshaft gear.
Can't comment on the other bits.
