Hopetoun House

Ruby and myself took the Jupiter to a small local Charity show at Hopetoun House which is only three miles from our house. It is situated on the shore of the River Forth and just west of the new Queensferry Crossing. With only about 140 vehicles in attendance, and maybe 500 public, it was a very relaxed event. Hopetoun House was built in the late 1600's and the present Hope family still live in the South wing. It is a remarkable and beautiful stately home, filled with stunning collections, and sits in majestic grounds with nature trails and scenic walks. The view from the roof towards the three bridges crossing the Forth can only be described as amazing. We were very lucky to have been given a parking spot in front of the house.
