Re: Goodwood Revival 8 - 10Sept 2017
It is getting close...so having said goodbye to Peter's Rhowina yesterday Amy's Bengamin had some attention . The water pump was changed; the broken rubber mount for the wiper motor was changed; an oil leak above the rear camshaft bearing was sealed with Oyltite and a spring was attached to the brake light switch as it stayed on.
I filled with petrol, washed and chamois, then rewired the water fan and oil fan relay and thermostat that somehow had been incorrectly reconnected.

Lovely polish Alan. Amy's Napoleon (SC) also had some attention yesterday. Now off to Chris's to sort his Javelin and Peter's Javelin.

Re: Goodwood Revival 8 - 10Sept 2017
We had 13 Jowett taxis chauffeuring the VIPs to the circuit plus there was Richard Keil's lovely Jupiter as the main exhibit in the Michelin garage.

I arrived at midday on Thursday to claim our camping pitch and after erecting the tent it was Pimms o'clock.

In expectation of rain I had chosen the site next to the hard road and at the top of the hill. Experience has taught me that lower down you will get bogged in.

With everyone but Amy (who had to work and did not arrive till 22:00 ) we started the BBQ and the rain kindly started just as we sat down.

Donath (who drove Peter's Jav) and Peter on the right sitting with David who thankfully brought his caravan.

Richard Gane sheltering from the rain.

Amy tucking in with Jo whose facilities Amy used.

Rupert with Dianne and Glyn tending the BBQ.

Work started at 7 the next morning.

Here is Bill Lock examining Peter Pfister's Jav at the Stables who had whimpishly chosen to stay there rather than camp.

After dinner in the Gordon rooms next to the House we concluded the evening with a few more pints of ale and wine.
Robert, David, Sharon, Chris and Glyn.

The sun did shine on Saturday and this is outside the kennels restaurant.

A dramatic picture of Amy in her fine chauffeuse outfit.

We needed to clean the cars after a day skating around the mud.

Back at the kennels with the manageress ushering a guest to Amy's SC.

This is at the taxi rank at the circuit.

Julie Willis' Jup which I took for a test drive up the hill climb to analyse a vibration

Richard at the Goodwood Hotel waiting for a fare.

An on-board shot of a line of Javs

A bit of a break

The Jarrett Jav and Alan's Lady.

The participants...
Amy Clements, Julie Willis , Chris Spencer, Peter Pfister with Donath Vogt, Rupert Knapton with John, Robert Dudley, Richard Gane, Bill Lock, Trevor Spero, Keith Clements, Alan Bartlett, Nigel and Alan Jarrett, Dianne and Glyn Davies.
