I have just received, filled in and sent off my entry form for the 2016 event on 30th April and 1st May.
My 1930 Fabric Saloon is at present having a new fabric cover installed. This is taking quite a while as there are a lot of remedial jobs to be sorted before the actual covering can begin. Then there will be the small? matter of refitting rear wings, running boards, windows, dashboard, electrics, and lots of other bits I have forgotten.
It seems possible that the car may not be back on the road by then so is anyone else likely to 'show the flag'? Anybody else wanting to join in the fun who has not previously entered and so does not automatically get an entry application, should contact: -
Jayne Howard, Events Team, Eastbourne Borough Council, 1 Grove Road, EASTBOURNE, East Sussex, BN21 4TW
James and I will both be marshalling anyway.
Hope to see you there!

Such are the distances that separate the North from the South of our great country!
I had a phone call from West Coast America this morning at about 10.00hrs GMT.
It turns out the caller generally deals with all company business in Europe so starts work at about midnight their time, then packs up late in the morning and goes fishing!
(Thanks Tony - now corrected).

Re: Eastbourne Magnificent Motors
Well, of course I didn't make it to
Mag Mots as the car is still with the upholsterer BUT it is NEARLY finished with only the waist line beadings to fit - apart that is from twiddly bits like mirrors, door wedges, bonnet tapes and suchlike.
I may yet be able to get to one or two shows this season but anyway I intend to visit a number of people who have been either helpful or encouraging over the past year.
I started the engine last week and it ran OK, or at least as well as it has in the past! Something else to look forward to!
