Gearbox oil level

Post by 114 »

Glad of some advice as to grade of oil to use in the gearbox (decent quality SAE40 monograde?)
Also correct level for topping up - fill to the dipstick mark or somewhere below it?
Thanks!
Roger

Sae 30, fill to top mark. Check every time you fill up with petrol. at least until you are confident the box does not leak, then check every 500 miles. Same with engine oil level.
