As promised last month, details of the ‘Jowett Brain Storm Session’ have been looked at and the chosen date will be Sunday, 21st February from 2pm. Two venues have been suggested and prior to finalising any booking we need to know how many plan to attend. Once numbers are known then the venue can be confirmed. So an early ‘New Year Resolution’ please: Can you all please let Drummond know of your intention to attend, preferably by e-mail or by phone after 8th January. We would like to have final numbers in by 15th January to book the venue. The plan, as outlined at our AGM, is to have an open and frank tabletop discussion regarding technical tips, experience in solving issues, tooling, modifications, spares, plus many more. I am sure we can all learn something, even if it's whatnot to do! Jointly, we possess stacks of information and knowledge so this could be a good time to learn from each other. We seem to have resolved this following a complete check over of the carburettors and a much finer tune of the timing. I have been concentrating on Jupiter and Javelin water pumps which are now on hold till January. Eddie has just advised that he needs to replace the sump and tappet cover gaskets on the Javelin as there appear to be slight oil leaks. Ruby and myself are now off to Florida till early January, so we will be thinking of all back home basking in the mild UK temperatures while we try to keep our cool going through airports.
