Richard told me the team will be out at Castle Combe in October, so why not come and watch.

popular Autumn Classic for its third year. Nicknamed the ‘Mini Revival of the South
West’ this event is growing in size and popularity with Formula 3 500s, historic
Aston Martins, VSCC Pre War Sports Cars, the FiSCar “50’s Inter-Marque’, the
‘Norman Dewis Trophy’ Jaguar Enthusiasts Club and Formula Junior single seaters.
Proper ‘blast from-the-past’ racing like they did in the ‘good ol’ days’!

Fantastic weather and fantastic day. I travelled the 220 mile round trip in the SA with just a vibration in the prop to worry about that went away at 70mph. I had to try to travel above that speed, which I did, except for some traffic nearing London and when off the motorway.

John Turner has just completed his epic task of writing and compiling the Castle Combe race report – a fund of information and opinion with the most fantastic photos to back up his story, which I think really catches the essence of this brilliant race day.
