Hi Guys and Gals,
I have a spare tickets for the Siverstone Classic http://www.silverstoneclassic.com/ at the weekend for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I will have a spare room in my tent , but this is not a condition of having the ticket! I also may need a navigator for the scenic run on Saturday, if you want a ride in the Jup.
I am going up Thursday afternoon to watch practice on Friday to be joined in the evening by Jack and Amy, returning Sunday evening.
Contact 07973 850 842 ASAP.

Re: Spare tickets for Silverstone This weekend
Fantastic weekend. TOPIC Some pictures on the Gallery here.
I arrived on Thursday evening and put mine and Jack and Amy's tents up. Up early on Friday got me to the paddock where I parked the Jup before all the security was in place. Spent the morning in the National or Historic Pits from which I started many a race. I met some of the mechanics and drivers that I had seen at Le Mans. I did the same in the afternoon in the International or new pits and was able to walk freely amongst all the cars which is more of a problem on the other days.
Saturday was a bit of a disaster as we were due to do the scenic run and meet Peter Tribble at Sywell. We managed eventually to find the start at Stowe School and had a tour of this beautiful place. A probable location for a future Jowett event.

Within a mile of the start Amy's SC broke its throttle cable. For once I had not brought my rally spares which contains one. Jack managed to fix it enough to get back to the circuit where we met Peter who had now arrived after a phone call.

Jack went off to find some throttle cable but I was given some throttle cable by a racing mechanic. So Amy went back to fix the car.
With Peter I visited most of the good viewing spots and saw some good racing.
Sunday was relaxed as Amy, Jack and I studdied the Mustangs , looked at Luffield complex and the outside of the track grandstand reminiscing about the International Police Association trophy I was presented in 1988 in the (now overshadowed) Racing Drivers club house. It is here the Jowett team was presented with the team prize also in the same year.
