We have arrived home in Australia after 6 weeks traveling through the UK and Europe I have to say that our time in England and Ireland was the best.
Oulton Park with the Jackson brothers and watching Richard Gane in his blue Jupiter was a high point.
Robert Grounds caught up with at the land rover factory, and it was great to see where our land rovers were built, but still a bit sad knowing that production will stop in 2015 and the buildings demolished.
Thankyou to Keith Clements for welcoming us into his home for three nights ,and taking us to Brooklands and St Albans.
There is nothing like meeting friendly faces with common interests when so far from home.
What an amazing garden you have Keith. Elissa wants to know what that fruit was that we couldn't stop eating.
Every garden should be like Keiths with a workshop like his at the bottom of the garden.
WE left our hotel in Istanbul after a two day trip to Gallipoli at 3pm on the Thursday, and arrived home at about 6am on Saturday, so it's taken a week or so to recover.
You are all very welcome in Australia whenever you can face the long flight.
Back home again in Oz.

Re: Back home again in Oz.
I think they were the Greengages. This tree has given virtually no fruit over the 35 years I have had it. When it does give a meagre handful either the wasps or squirels get to them first. So you were lucky!
I also have the black, red and green Gooseberries as well as red and black currants, Loganberry, raspberry and strawberry in the fruit cage with black berries growing wild in the hedge, 6 varieties of apples that last from end of June till following April, three pears, plum and two cherry trees.
Hope to see you next year!
