James and I had a great day out at Goodwood on Sunday - me in the Long Four (110 miles round trip, no problems) and James with his Capri newly returned from a stint at Nurburgring (11 min 20s without really trying).
Investigating the car park in the afternoon we bumped into Nigel Hicks and his party with the green Javelin previously owned by his father (They never wear out, you pass them to your next of kin!).
Sadly we did not manage to catch up with the Jowett Taxi Service although we did find the 'Glam Cabs' girls and a row of London-type taxis - perhaps the Jowetts were all going about their proper business!
I hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did and had an uneventful return journey.
Autumn looms and I will be getting the car ready to receive its 'skin' at last.
