Sunday July 27th – Old Warden, Shuttleworth Collection Flying Day, ‘Wings and Wheels’ Airshow: historic aircraft in the presence of historic Jowetts. This promises to be a fantastic event; admission charges – free for driver and Jowett car, any adult passengers will be £12 per person, no charge for children (look at their website for more details at www.shuttleworth.org)
Sunday August 17th – Woburn Park, Bedfordshire: deHavilland Tiger Moth International Rally and Historic Vehicle Show; this is a wonderful opportunity to display your historic Jowett in the presence of these iconic historic aircraft, and there is a special concessionary discounted admission of £10 per Jowett vehicle including two adults; the tickets need to be purchased in advance - in which regard, the absolute deadline for advance tickets is 6th August 2014.
Saturday 9th/Sunday 10th August - Ex-Employees Reunion: Bradford Industrial Museum and on Sunday drive to Yorkshire Event Centre, Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG2 8NZ where we have been invited by the TR Register to join them at their Rally where they will reserve for us an area to display our Jowetts.
September 13th/14th – Peterborough Classic and Vintage Vehicle Show: a new event and venue organised by the Peterborough City Council; we have lodged our expression of interest. This location could seek to cover JCC Members from Cambridgeshire, Rutland. Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Bedfordshire.
September 13th/14th – North West Section Annual General Meeting and invitation to their weekend of activities at The Knot Inn, Rushton Spencer; details available from Tim Brown at tim"at"byjowett.co.uk
September 27th/28th - Sywell Classic ‘Pistons & Props’: Based on the success of the inaugural event in 2013, the organisers are planning for an even better one for 2014. We have lodged our expression of interest. This location could seek to cover JCC Members from Cambridgeshire, Rutland. Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Warwickshire.
Wednesday, October 1st - Section Meeting at The Lime Kilns, Hinckley LE10 3ED to discuss the JCC Display at the 2014 NEC Classic Motor Show on 14th-16th November.
October 3rd-6th - Weekend Away: Invitation from NorthWest Section to join them for the weekend away at The Baskerville Arms, Clyro, near Hay-on-Wye HR3 5RZ. (See North West Section programme for more details).
Sunday, November 2nd – JCC Midland Section Annual General Meeting at The Lime Kilns, LE10 3ED. In the Boaters’ Tavern at The Lime Kilns, near Hinckley for 11am. Sunday Lunches are available from 12 noon with a good menu, and booking is advisable on 01455 631158
