In the latest Jaguar Enthusiasts Club magazine is an article by Club President Keith Vincent about the XK140 he has owned for 33years which appeared in a 1959 film "Too Many Crooks " , driven by Terry Thomas . A still taken from the film shows the XK in a street "along with a period Jowett Javelin" The Reg . Number is not clear but it might be a black deluxe , the film was a comedy by Ealing Studios starring Thomas, Bernard Bresslaw and George Cole , and is available on DVDs etc . Any idea about the Javelin which may have been just an innocent bystander ! ? Bob .
