Ruby Black
Sadly, Drummond's wife Ruby suffered a mild heart attack at the end of last week. Drummond says she is making steady progress and was due home in the middle of this week. Thankfully they can take this as a mild warning to change habits and lifestyles with not too much damage done. Easier said than done we all know. They are both stalwarts of the club, and our section, and our best wishes must go to them at this time

Re: Ruby Black
We have Ruby home now following a very difficult period. She is really progressing well. The speed at which the emergency services acted was truly unbelievable. Within two hours of complaining of a chest pain she was rushed into ERI and operated on to remove the clot and was sitting up in bed within an hour of arriving at the hospital. No messing about. Our thanks definitely go the CCU staff at Edinburgh Royal and later at St John's Hospital in Livingston.
We also would like to say a very big thank you for the cards , flowers e-mails, and phone calls from all our friends in the JCC. I had to go out and buy more vases. ( Was thinking of using Cylinder Liners at one point ). All your kind thoughts certainly cheered Ruby up no end.
We now start a long period of recovery, but together, we will get through it and get Ruby back to full strength.
Will keep you all up to date.
Regards Drummond

Re: Ruby Black
Dear Drummond,
Just read the news about Ruby. We are so sorry that she has had a heart attack and so relieved that she has had such good care. We hope she makes a full recovery very quickly! I know what you mean about searching for vases! Juliet has been surrounded by bunches of daffodils. But I found cylinder liners tend to leak!
All the very best to you both,
David and Juliet

Re: Ruby Black
Hi all, Ruby seems well on the mend and has asked me to convey her thanks for all the flowers and get well cards that she has received. It's good to see that she is so well thought of and appreciated. With continuing support and some lifestyle changes she will hopefully be back to full strength soon. Dave Thomson.
