Well what else do you do when together for 21 days in a Javelin?
Did you know that circlips have a back and a front? If you do not put the sharp side facing out on the gudgeon pins then they may fall out. This may have been what happened to mine on the 1989 Pirelli Marathon when the eventually worked their way up the piston.
Larger Subaru valves and VW and Ford 6 cylinder valve springs and Chevy Valve guides fit.
Ford consul thrust washers may be used.
!0lb alloy flywheel with steel insert and ring gear fitted to Buckwheat. Innards polished and shot peened. VW 1600cc pistons fitted.

WiFi and mobile phone coverage
In 1988 I listened to the BT research head at a conference talking about connecting people on a data network using devices connected to home phones to give wireless coverage across the country. That was 35 years ago and we are only now getting some semblance of such a scheme.
The British psyche of not sharing means that devices are now secured against open access in the UK. But in the USA most businesses now offer WiFi for free, meaning I did not have to use data roaming (and thus saved myself a fortune). With such poor mobile phone coverage in the USA, particularly on the roads we were travelling, I am glad I did not buy a SIM card.
It is interesting how it affects you. How many European youngsters, who have grown up with a mobile phone attached to their ear, would panic if they had to go days without a signal?
