I'm considering Webers for my mk1 Jupiter: I haven't been able to get in contact with Scott, can anybody else help here, comment- and suggestions-wise on the use of Webers?on May 10, 2005, Scott Renner wrote:Noticed a post regarding carbs and troubles with Zeniths. I have run Weber 34 ICT (VW Beetle applications) carbs with great results for the last 14 years. Easy to modify, easy to tune. Please drop me a line for pics and suggestions.

And can Weber carbs be fitted to Javelins as well? Any other makes as alternatives and what are the benefits?

Jav and Jup have same requirements. You may need to fit separate air filters to stop loss of power at 70Mph through induction standing waves.
You need to fit twin cables for choke and sometimes reverse direction of throttle. Adapter plates also need to be made to accomodate slightly different pitch of mounting bolts. You need to fit the correct jets for the type of motoring you want.
