GDN 480 was registered on 1 jan 1952, it is an E1 PD, a 1952 model made in late 1951. It is listed in the 2008 club register.

It looks superb in the pictures, all the right fittings , I do not recall seeing a Javelin priced as high as this ,but the dealer may stand by subsequent defects ? At the money a proper expert opinion would be wise ! Bob

This Javelin belonged to the late David Ellis of Didsbury for many years. I know that it had the later rubber bushed front suspension- presumably it still has! It was always a splendid car, well maintained by David and lovingly cared for- but it is many years since I last saw her.

If I recall, this car won 'premier concours ' one year under David or Kay's ownership'

It also features as the Oxford Models Javelin in burgundy red, the number plate being the same.

- This car for sale within the trade and obviously the e bay price has a reserve of ? - He has it listed elsewhere at £8,950 - it is a nice car & well sorted - but in my opinion its over priced - I would value it in the region of £7,250 to £7,750

One bid and no "reserve not met" so unless another bid comes in it will go for the start bid of £5000 - though of course there's quite a while yet. Quite a difference between the advertised elsewhere price.

In that case it is presently a bargain - but I would think it will sell for quite a bit more than this if left in the auction
