Crikey. Quite a bit of work, but looks like most of it is there.
Interesting comment in the listing: "There is a thriving club for this make, which is, I believe, the oldest club in existence (formed 1923) for a single make, and are celebrating their 90th year." - doesn't sound like a club member, but somebody must be reading the classic car magazines that we have been blitzing with publicity in the last few months!

An easier 'resurection' would be to rebuild it as a replica of the late Roy Bradocks lorry now owned by Mike Fishwick. The front end i.e chassis/cab tinware looks restorable and a lorry conversion would save a great deal of cost on a complete new interior.
The ex Bradock lorry started life as a 1937 eight and was converted By Roy following a maajor accident in its early life.

The photo has taken me back a bit George.
I remember sitting in the passenger seat whilst Roy drove us up to see Bill Slack at his farm all those years ago, whilst I was visiting 'Inglenook' with 'Mary Ellen' to pick up some bits.
It was a master class in gear changing in a pre-war/vintage Jowett which has stood me in good stead ever since.
Tony.

I like the pick up idea and would not mind taking it on - but I have already exhausted my own plus several friends storage areas with projects - same old tale - 'too many bits - too little time' - need to get our London property sold and find a new residence with plenty of storage (probably end up becoming the neighbour from hell
) for someone - unless they like Jowetts that is

Re: eBay 8hp not for the faint hearted.
Jowetts never made a production model ''pick up'' ( The one off CD prototyp was a 'pick up') They only made lorries. Roy Braddocks was a car converted into a lorry and being on the 1937 8' 6'' wheelbase double dropped cross braced car chassis wass different to the 1937 commercials which used the 1934 tyupe of ladder frame with 8'6'' wheelbase or to the 1938 commercial whic h introduced the Bradford chassis on 7' 6''' chassis

Re: eBay 8hp not for the faint hearted.
The photo of this 8 had a familier look about it anbookd have now found out why.. There is a half page photo of it in Bruce Hudsons book ''British Light cars 1930 -39 published in 1975. It was in better nick then but was described as ''ripe for restoration''. It would appear that it has been through a few hands since then gradually becoming even more ripe for restoration!
The Jowett section of the book also contains photos of the Ex Dennis Mitchells '33 Kestrel and John follows '34 Kestrel.
