Classic Car Weekly 90th Anniversary Feature

Post by Jack »

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but get your copy of CCW this week for a big feature on the club on page 7, we're even on the front page as a "Club News Extra" - huge thanks to Dave and the team at CCW for their support once again.

Some great photos, the unveiling of the 90th Anniversary Basingstoke Rally Plate, that some of you may have noticed on Alan Bartlett's car at the NEC, and some great details courtesy of Noel on the club's history and activities. Also details of the field day at the Milestones Museum on 25th May for the general public, so make sure you've got your booking forms in if you've not done it already - this is an event not to be missed!

Noel is working on how we can further publicise the 90th Anniversary, so if anyone has any ideas or wants to get involved please shout.

Edit - I thought I'd check, and my suspicions were confirmed, CCW has a distribution of about 24,000 copies per week. Over a month that is nearly 100,000 copies sold, so they are producing more magazines than anybody else in the market. By comparison that is around twice as many copies as the two biggest monthly magazines, but obviously that doesn't necessarily mean 100,000 different people are reading each week, there will be repeat buyers in there.

Jack.
