The ebay number is shown on ebay as no longer available . The reg. no is not listed in the 2008 register ,but is a Leicester series first used in June 1950. The tel. no quoted is a Bristol area number. Bob Lintott

Seems odd that it was registered in Jan 1949, according to the seller, but with a number which was not available until June 1950. The Register has a car registered on the same date in Jan 49 , now with an age related plate , I wonder if there is a connection? Bob

This car used to belong to the late Frank Cooke, and after that, Noel Stokoe.

Yes, I bought this Javelin from Frank Cooke in about 1994, I ran it for 5 years, but sold it in 1999 when I bought a 1952 Javelin registered FFR900. I have not seen or heard of the car again since I sold it, but it has been sold on ebay a few years ago by an owner after me. I would be most grateful if anybody can let me know where the car goes to, as I could tell the new owner about the car whilst I owned it.

SOLD - £2925.03 - Hard to say if this was the right money for the car as the images displayed were old - but it's about the right money for a condition 2 - 3 car that is on the road but requiring improvement.

I have spoken to Martin Andrews, as he is the person who has bought my old Javelin, he is not a member at the moment, but I have told him that he really should be! He has promised to join, so I hope he does.

There has been some debate about the car's age, but I can confirm that it is in fact a 1950 car and NOT a 1949 model. The car is chassis number EO/PB/10990 and was originally turquoise blue with beige leather trim (it still is) the car was dispatched by Jowett Cars Ltd to the Jowett agents, Sibson's Garage, Leicester on 12th October 1950 and is registered GJF664.

Noel explains the discrepancy, it is nearly 2 years younger than the seller described so he must have confused the reg date or maybe there is an error on the V5 --not unknown ? Lets hope the new owner joins , saving on a few spares will soon pay the sub! Bob
