Re: mathewsons
Yes, interesting . It seems to be a deluxe-- grill, bumpers, roof aerial--unfortunately the number plate is obscured. It is very shiny and looks straight. On the website it says £TBA maybe they realised £1500-2000 might be low! ? Bob Lintott

Re: mathewsons
was advertised in a magazine at that price, but checking today see they have it at £2000-£3000 which still seems reasonable

Re: mathewsons
It all depends on condition but it will be interesting to see what it fetches at auction . £ 2000-3000 could imply a lot of work needed or a very conservative estimate if the picture is a good guide to body condition (which looks good). Good Javelins are in the £6000+ region now , for example Peter Rodgers has one in his showroom at £7450 .
Did the magazine ad have a picture with the Reg. no.? If so it could be checked in the club register.Bob Lintott

Re: mathewsons
In the 2008 Club register GAK169 is shown as believed to exist but not registered. It is shown as black and is D9 PA 4839 D and was registered in Bradford ( factory? ) in about September 1949. The wording gives a clue to the price , which keeps rising ! might be interesting ? Does anyone recall the number ? Bob

Re: mathewsons
The car has apparently been dismantled at least partly , for restoration , by the previous owner. The picture on the Auction Website was taken before it was taken aoart , so there will be a possibly substantial cost for restoration which explains the rather low price. Bob Lintott
