Does anybody know a source for the rubber strip that attaches to the bottom of the door opening? It is semi-cylindrical (20mm diameter) with a flap or U section through which a stainless steel strip clamps to the sill.
I just phoned rubbertrim.co.uk and looked at Woolies catalogue and they can only do the semi-cylindrical section (at £11 a metre !) which could just be stuck onto the wing , I guess.

I think the strip you are looking for attaches to the outer edge of the sill, the lower edge of the door closes on it to prevent water , mud and draughts entering the car . I recall them on my first ,nearly new Javelin but they were vunerable to people getting out catching heels on the edge and detaching the rubber . I do not recall the stainless strip. They are part nos J 642-5 on page 31 of the parts book., item nos 1762-5 clearly shown in the picture.
I just checked my current Jav. There is no seal ,with the doors closed there is up to 20mm gap ,varying , the sills are not original. I would be interested to know if you find a source ( not at £11 per metre!). I would try sticking them to the doors in preference.
Woolies SRS 25 or 110 might do? Fortunately not SRS 8 !
Best wishes Bob

SRS8 is probably closest to original but without the u shaped foot as the original, Over £12 a metre though! And you need three.
The two you suggested might do the job, just would not look correct.
The original only had a height of about 15mm so with a 20mm gap it might not be effective.
Part 363 is worth looking at.

Keith, I got my sill rubber from JCS, this has the correct profile & accepts the support strip for fixing to the sill.

Alf.
