1905 Javelin starting problem

Post by Robin Fairservice »

I had my engine out to change the camshaft float control to the later version. I have had lots of issues trying to get it to run, and now it does. It now starts first time but the revs go up to 5000 rpm before I can turn the ignition off. I have looked for air leaks, and have made sure that everything is set according to the book. I am now searching for ideas and why it might do this.

Disconnect the throttle and run on idle setting? Make sure all springs on carb and throttle.
