URGENT - Section Meetings 2011

On Wednesday 6th July 2011 we discovered, on arrival, that The Axe & Compass at Wolvey, which has been our meeting place for the past few years, had ceased trading on 29th June. Therefore we have cancelled the scheduled August meeting and will advise Section Members, through the Jowetteer and Jowett.org of the alternative arrangements for September onwards.

All you on-line guys should tell as many off-line guys of the situation and show them what advantages being on-line has!

That happened when we met in Meriden. We all sat in the car park till everybody arrived and then went to the pub down the road.
The pub reopened soon after but we moved and eventually started to meet at the 'Case is Altered' which is still going, all be it that our meeting room is no more. Perhaps it's about time we sorted a meeting place on the western side of the Midlands. What about somewhere near Worcester?

Dear All Midlanders,
Following the loss of our regular meeting venue [see July postings]
Roger Sanderson has organised a venue for the SEPTEMBER section meeting on WEDNESDAY 7th at 8pm at The Lime Kilns, Watling Street, Hinckley, Leics LE10 3ED. Roger tells us that it is just a few miles from the previous meeting place, The Axe & Compass.
During the September meeting we can decide if this is suitable relocation or consider any fowarded or suggested options. This is an important meeting as we will be formulating the contents for the dipslay for the November 2011 NEC Classic Car Show.
