There are a couple bolts hard to get at on Bradford bores...
Is there a special spanner for these?
Anyone made one?
If so what did u use and how?
Got a picture?
Are there any other hard to get at bolts/nuts?
There is the big one inside the bellhousing.
I cut a large socket in 1/2 then welded each 1/2 to each end of a piece of heavy walled steam pipe....can be used on a power bar...or in my case a rattle gun.
Work hard at being lazy lol

Special Bradford tools
Keith, I have forgotten which model you have and no time to check. From your comment about the big nut in the bell housing I guess it must be a CB (guessing that you mean the nut on the end of the crank shaft as CC has 4 bolts!)
In my experience if the engine is out CB pots are not too much trouble. With the engine in the vehicle the steering column is a bit of a PITA. For the CC its a different story. Years ago we made a special spanner much as you describe for accessing some of the cranckcase to pot bolts on the CC. It consisted of a cut down box spanner and a piece of carefully bent bar welded together. That said, recently I have bought some nice slim Brittool ring spanners and these seem to do the job quite well.
Big ends can be a challenge as ideally you need a socket, but most sockets are a bit thick,
PAUL

The one in the bellhousing is on the gearbox shaft...CC
Will start looking for a whit box spanner in 1/2 hand shops
The big ends where a problem taking off, I turned down a impact socket to fit these....I turned down a normal socket 1st, but that split on me.

if I remember correctly the factory recommended a half moon ring spanner for removing CC pots with the engine in situ. An ordinary straight ring spanner works fine with the engine out of the vehicle.
As far as the flywheel nut on CA/CB & pre watr I used a hefty box spanner welded to a six foot T section bar ('cos I happened to have one!) this always loosened the nut with ease.

Cool, Thanks
just got back from the 2nd tool shops.
Didnt want to mess with the few Whitworth tools I have.
I have enough to cut bend weld to make a tool for the cylinder bolts.
If u have a pic of the adapted cylinder bolt spanner, could u please email to me if u dont have a web site to host it on....
I will host on my webserver and post here for ref for others
