Coming north again this year so hope we see some of the members from up there
This event is on a private airstrip and will perhaps have new events
This will include a picnic/barbeque and has a noon start with at 10.30 departure for the Auckland cars

Competition is for the Ray Hanson Memorial Cup

Christmas Barbeque

December 3rd 5-9pm

A trip on the Watercare Services Rain Forest Express which will take us 6km through the bush and through 10 tunnels and over 9 bridges to the Upper Nihotupu dam and storage lake for the barbeque, returning as darkness sets in

Northern Region Pride of Ownership and Galaxy of Cars

Sunday February 4th

MOTAT Grounds
Motions Rd Entrance, Pt Chevalier

This the major Auckland display for Classic Cars of our era
It also doubles up as our Club Pride of Ownership

Jowett Car Club traditionally has strong numbers at this event

The last two Northern Region events have seen new levels of Jowetts turning out. Make one of these events a goal to have your Jowett ready

Fuel Economy Run : Due to bad weather was moved today...

For the 1st time Braddies out numbered javlins...great stuff ..thu some wouldnt agree lol.
As far as a serious fuel economy run...forget it lol..It was just another fun day out...Ken Brownlie has the fastest Braddy..except up steep hills, but more than makes up for it down hill, and just, on the flat...
At the 1/2 way piont, Ken is concerned about being zapped by a speed camera on the motorway!!! lol
I came in not much slower over all, And John and Joan haulling up the rear.
So with Ken and I, pretending to keep up with the Javalins and Jupiters, The others in our dust...at the end of the Day, the Bradfords won..all within about 32 to 34 mpg and the others not far behind.
Who won...Who cares lol?..the Braddies stuck it to the rest, and everyone had a ball.
Steps

Thanks to Allen and Barbara for organising and great day out...again
